DHL bundles tailored solutions to target ten specific industries, which we refer to as our DHL sectors. This guide shows how to write them properly and provides tips for designing sector-specific media.
Dos and Don’ts
Industry sectors can be communicated using specific key visuals, images, icons etc. Our Brand contains the following industry sectors:
- Auto-Mobility Sector
- Chemicals Sector
- Consumer Sector
- Energy Sector
- Engineering and Manufacturing Sector
- Financial Services Sector
- Life Science and Health Care Sector
- Public Sector
- Retail Sector
- Technology Sector
Industry sectors are written in title case (capitalize first letter of each word). In main headlines, sector names are written in uppercase letters and each word is separated by a space. In copy text only, add “DHL” before the name.
Each industry sector offers a specific service called solution. These solutions follows the same writing style as their sector.

Industry-specific customer promise
Add an industry-specific customer promise to the sector name in the main headline.
Each industry sector has its own domain, which leads to a relevant landing page. Be sure to position it prominently throughout all media.
Use a specific, topic-related image consistently throughout all media. Ensure that your images conform to Imagery Guide.
Use a specific illustration or an image consistently throughout all media. Consider integrating the DHL Sector icon into you illustration.
