When it launched in 2014, Formula E was a motorsport startup; today it attracts millions of fans around the world – and a whole new audience to motorsports. Why? Because it brings the heart-pounding excitement of racing to the downtown streets of some of the world’s most iconic cities; because its fully-electric cars hit top speeds of 280 km/h, quietly and emissions-free; and because it’s a hotbed for e-mobility innovation. Thrilling millions of fans, no other motorsport series currently has as many car manufacturers actively involved as Formula E.

As Official Founding and Logistics Partner, DHL handles the logistics requirements of Formula E organizers and teams, transporting over 500 tons of freight – including all race cars, batteries and charging units, media and broadcasting equipment – to urban venues around the world. From the start, DHL instinctively understood Formula E’s vision to raise public awareness on e-mobility and lead the transition towards smart cities and low-carbon lifestyles. As Logistics Partner, we help Formula E push the boundaries of sustainability with a tailored, multi-modal transport approach that maximizes efficiency and further reduces its carbon footprint.

DHL is proud to be part of Formula E’s mission to inspire and engage a global audience on sustainable mobility. Beyond logistics, we help boost fan engagement with our interactive “DHL Driver of the Day” award and sponsor a range of additional events to engage fans and raise awareness about e-mobility and the environment. Our Clean Air campaign, for example, helps promote the initiative from Formula E #TheRaceForCleanAir, while also raising awareness for our Group’s “Mission 2050” to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.
